We manufacture spirally crimped fin tubes, where the fin is bonded to the tube mechanically rather than welded — a bond that resists loosening under thermal cycling and vibration, at a lower cost than welded fin tube. Used in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, HVAC, and process heating or cooling.

Fin tubes are produced to order on our own PTF finning machines in India and exported by the bundle to heat exchanger builders, boiler makers and process plants abroad. Base tube, fin material, fin height and pitch are set from your thermal duty, and a sample length can be finned and sent for approval before the balance quantity is run.

Standards
ASTM A106, A179, ASME
Tube Material
Carbon, Stainless, Alloy
Export Terms
FOB Indian port or CIF your port — seaworthy packing
Built and shipped
Made at Pithampur, India — exported worldwide, FOB Indian port

Spirally Crimped Construction

  • Process: Fin strip is wound around the base tube at a precise angle; crimping forms interlocking ridges for a durable mechanical bond (optional tack welding at ends for extra security)
  • Benefits: Strong thermal contact, improved heat transfer coefficient, cost-effective versus welded fin tubes, suitable for heating and cooling applications

Key Features

  • Enhanced heat transfer surface
  • Material versatility
  • High-temperature durability
  • Customizable configurations

Applications

  • Power generation condensers
  • Petrochemical cooling
  • HVAC systems
  • Air-cooled heat exchangers

Export Supply and Shipping

  • Shipping: Bundled, end-capped and strapped in crates or on skids to suit the tube length; FOB Nhava Sheva or Mundra, or CIF your port.
  • Material traceability: Base tube and fin strip bought against your specification, with mill test certificates passed on heat by heat.
  • Packing: ISPM-15 heat-treated timber, ends capped against sea air, and bundles marked with heat number and length.
  • Sampling: A short sample run couriered for bond and fin-height approval before production, which is far quicker than settling it after a container has sailed.
  • Documents and payment: Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading; quoted in US dollars per metre or per tube.

Frequently Asked Questions

What fin tube sizes do you manufacture?

Tube outer diameters from 15 to 220 mm, fin heights from 6.35 to 38 mm, and fin densities of 10-50 fins per inch.

What materials are available for fin tubes?

Base tubes in carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, with fin material chosen for the heat-transfer duty — commonly aluminum or steel strip, spirally wound and crimped for a strong mechanical bond.

Is the fin tubes customised to my requirement?

Yes. Every machine we build is custom-engineered — capacity, dimensions, and configuration are matched to your line. Send your requirement via the enquiry form or call +91 91091 02280 for a firm quote. Equipment is manufactured to ASTM A106, ASTM A179, ASME, and test certificates are available on request.

Do you export fin tubes, and can we approve a sample first?

Yes to both. A short sample run is finned and couriered for bond and fin-height approval before the balance quantity goes into production — far quicker than settling a query after a container has sailed. Production tubes ship FOB Nhava Sheva or Mundra, or CIF your port.
